Who is this course for?

For nail technicians, lash stylists and supervisors who need knowledge of chemical risks and safe handling in a salon.

Course content

• Chemical health risks and risk assessment
• Product labelling, safety data sheets and hazardous work tasks
• Ventilation, protective equipment and safe work practices
• Processing, thermal decomposition and safe handling

The course covers acrylic and gel nail products and cyanoacrylate-based lash adhesives. Product labelling and safety data sheets determine the risks and requirements to consider.

Rules and responsibilities

Swedish rules on chemical risks are in AFS 2023:10, effective from 1 January 2025.

The employer is responsible for choosing training that fits the products and tasks and for workplace risk assessment and protective measures.

Training certificate

After passing the final exam, you receive a digital training certificate. BraKem certificates are valid for five years.

How the training works

Complete the video-based training online at your own pace. The course ends with an exam. After passing, you receive a digital training certificate.

You must be at least 18 and able to understand the course material in Swedish.
