Thermosetting Plastic Training with REACH Addendum [EN2023]

Target group

Our training is for everyone who comes into contact with thermosetting plastics in their work. Whether you work as an operator, supervisor, or manager responsible for staff handling thermosetting plastics, you need knowledge about these materials and the requirements set by the Swedish Work Environment Authority to meet the requirements.

This training is tailored for:

  • Industry
  • Construction
  • Workshop

Description

As of June 1, 2015, new stricter rules for chemical occupational risks applied. The Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulation AFS 2014:43 replaced the previously known "Thermosetting Plastics Training". This meant that everyone handling allergenic chemical products needed to undergo new training. The next major change in the rules for chemical occupational risks (amendment of AFS 2011:19) is planned for 2023. These changes take effect on August 24, 2023, and involve changes in the training requirements for certain diisocyanates, according to Regulation (EU) 2020/1149 amendment of Annex XVII (diisocyanates).

If you currently have a valid training certificate for working with diisocyanates according to the regulations on chemical occupational risks, you may need to renew or supplement your training before August 24, 2023, if the diisocyanates are covered by the requirements of the Reach restriction. This is because the new requirements are more extensive than the current requirements for chemical occupational risks.

Our training is updated and follows the new legislation according to REACH and the Swedish Work Environment Authority's AFS 2022:4.
